Heavy Metal Plastic
Next week sees plastic turn to metal with the launch of the Heavy Metal Qee exhibition at London's Forbidden Planet Megastore.
Running from 12th-19th April, the final night will culminate with a 'Meet The Artists' session, where you can be sure to catch up with many of the 30 contributors. With names such as A Little Stranger, Lunartik, Jon Paul Kaiser, Jim Freckingham, Mimic, Sneaky Raccoon and FarkFK involved, it represents another celebration of the ever burgeoning talent of the UK scene, fusing show curator Daniel Perry's love of the titular musical style and iconic Qee platform of toys.
If you are unable to make the journey to the capital, you need not miss out - a 64-page colour book, featuring full page spreads of each of the customs and profiles of the artists will be available via www.fugi.me from 12th April, with the toys themselves up for grabs at the same website, from the 20th April onwards.
