One LED lights an entire room
20.06.2012 by Roisin McGuire

Designer Todd Bracher has created a lighting array that, by using reflected light, amplifies one LED to light an entire room. The power of one light can be reused by creating a virtual LED. The virtual LED is created by bouncing the light off of the lamp module across an array of mirrors, which appears as another LED on the next module, although simply a reflection. Clever stuff!

The array featured at the Wanted Design installment of the 2012 New York Design Week, a collection of configurations that showed the convex shape being used to spread light by using 98% reflective sheeting on the panels.
