RYCA 'Highs and Lows'

29.10.2012 by Roisin McGuire

Ryan Callanan will have his first major exhibition start this week at London West Bank Gallery. Some of you will be more familiar with Ryan's work under his alias ‘RYCA’.

Highs and Lows unites works made under his own name and his street art moniker. The exhibition charting the journey from his early works in print making to the bold new typographic signage he is produces today. inspiration comes from a heavy dose of Star Wars and Hip Hop — seen in crucified Stormtrooper sculptures alongside famous lyrics and lines from Hip Hop history reimagined in traditional signage styles.

We are delighted to bring you a small behind-the-scenes look at some of the new works. There will even be a set of collaboration pieces with major names in street art, including Ben EineSTIK and David Walker.

Show dates: 1st-15th November 2012
Opening Reception: 6-9pm, Thursday 1st November 2012
